Many years ago, when my daughter was young, she discovered Rainbow Brite. We were on a tight budget in those days so I would cruise the thrift stores looking for "Finds". That was in the late 1980's so the Rainbow Brite fever had peaked and people were clearing out closets as their kids interests changed. I could count on finding the 1980 Hallmark Rainbow Brites on a regular basis. I got good a quickly going up and down the rows at Goodwill looking for them.
In those days Sprites were $0.69 and the Rainbow Brites themselves were $1.99 or $2.99. Time passes, she is married & out of the house, and we still have boxes of Rainbow Brite dolls, sprites, books, sheets, etc.
